In need of a little refueling, Nicole Richie headed out for a walk to the local café to grab a cup of coffee on Thursday (May 16) in Sydney, Australia. Dressed in an all-black ensemble, including a black beanie, the talented mother-of-two took her kiddos Harlow and Sparrow Madden out for a stroll around the Darling Hotel before they headed back inside with their beverages. Most recently, the 31-year-old actress and fashion designer released her latest episode of her web show, “Candidly Nicole.” In the newest installment, Nicole doles out advice on first date outfits, and knowing the difference between what is okay to wear in front of a girl and in front of a guy.

She’s no stranger to swanky red carpet shindigs, and last night (May 6) Nicole Richie showed up at the 2013 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The “Fashion Star” babe selected a custom Topshop getup for the affair, working the arrivals area like a seasoned pro. But most notable was Nicole’s grayish-white coif, credited to her hairstylist Luke Chamberlain who called it “an elevated, next level of punk.” And given that the theme of the MET Gala was “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” it sounds like Ms. Richie fit right in!
